A playground of

wellbeing

Nestled in historic downtown Kalispell, Montana, The Source Massage, Sauna & Day Spa is a restorative wellness destination offering therapeutic massage, authentic Finnish sauna, contrast therapy, and spa amenities. Founded by Dr. C. Claude Basler and his wife, Alisha, The Source was created to help people slow down, restore deeply, and feel their best.

Inspired by the beauty of Montana and all that there is to see and explore.

Our purpose is to help you restore today so you’re ready for tomorrow’s adventures. Whether you’re exploring Glacier, enjoying Flathead Valley, or simply navigating the demands of everyday life, we’re here to help you find relief, renewal, and lasting restoration.

Through therapeutic massage, authentic Finnish sauna, contrast therapy, and restorative wellness experiences, we help every guest rest, recharge, and return to their source—stronger in body, mind, and soul.

the science

Behind Massage & Sauna

At The Source Massage, Sauna & Day Spa, we combine authentic Finnish sauna traditions with therapeutic massage to promote lasting relief and restoration. Backed by research, regular sauna use has been shown to support relaxation, improve circulation, aid recovery, promote heart health, and enhance overall wellness.

Boosts Heart Health & Longevity

Frequent sauna use (4–7 sessions per week) is associated with a 50–63% reduction in risk of cardiovascular disease and up to 40% lower all-cause mortality compared to once-a-week users.¹

Protects the Brain & Sharpens the Mind

Regular heat exposure through sauna use is linked to a 66% lower risk of dementia and a 65% lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease, thanks to increased blood flow, BDNF production, and heat shock protein activity.²

Reduces Stress & Enhances Mood

Sauna use stimulates endorphins, lowers cortisol, and supports better emotional regulation—leading to improved mood, reduced anxiety, and deeper sleep.³

Speeds Recovery & Builds Resilience

Heat therapy lowers inflammation, enhances circulation, and supports muscle recovery—especially when combined with cold plunge contrast therapy.⁴

Encourages Mindful Living

Each session invites stillness, presence, and reflection—a practice that nurtures not just physical health, but a more grounded way of being.
